Aldous Rapid Application Development
The key to Aldous rapid implementation is the “out of the box” functionality that can be customized to meet the Communication Service Provider’s business requirements, as well as being able to integrate with existing systems that may already provide core functionality such as CRM and Order Management.
The open architecture of Aldous reduces the complexity and time involved in the implementation, so that Aldous can be implemented without compromising either existing or target architectures.
The Aldous Technology Model is based on:
- a J2EE/JEE enterprise foundation
- an Embedded Constraints based rules engine
- A JSR168 Portal based user interface and a traditional MVC based user interface utilizing Struts, and Webservices using Apache Axis.
- Spring Framework providing loose coupling between components
- Configurable Business Process Management.
- Multi-channel capability supporting user experiences ranging from low fidelity (e.g. IVR) to rich experiences (Web2.0) including AJAX support for an improved user experience
- Flexible product model supporting inherently complex telecommunication products and based on industry standards (TMF eTOM and SID)
- 'Bill-of-materials' based shopping cart providing support for simple through to complex telecommunication products.
- Support for JSR170 Content Management support.
